Weekly Recipe #29

Hello everyone!  It’s Taylor here today, and I’m sharing this week’s Weekly Recipe sketch challenge.  Ready to see it?

I have really been loving the circles lately, so this week I drew a sketch that featured that.  You’ll see on my sample below that the bottom panel actually does have a chevron pattern; my intent with this sketch was that it was just some sort of different pattern or color than the top part of the card.  You can whip up whatever strikes your fancy!

My card uses stamps from the newest Diner’s Club set, Garden Tea Time.  You can also purchase these two stamps individually, as the Tea Bag stamp and the Hot Water sentiment.  For more details on my card, please head over to my blog! love for you to play along this week – share your fabulous project over on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Facebook page!

Tea Time!?

Good morning all! I hope you are enjoying the perfect spring-time weather today! I’m listening to birds chirping in the trees…and yes, it might be through a drizzling rain, but at least they are happy to be back! I was looking at the new additions to the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Pinterest boards…are you following along on Pinterest!? I found breaths of fresh air, beautiful colors and reminders for the necessary Tea Time! The cards I’m sharing today are showing you the great tea images from the Garden Tea Time diner’s club set.

Love the beautiful colors and layout of this card from Tricia, isn’t it lovely!? I love her twine treatment, brad..it’s all perfect!

I love this fun little one by Kelli! This is a perfect little giftie, it’s got a tea bag inside the card! Be sure to check her blog and see the inside…it’s so fun! I love how she used the large doily image under the sentiment about women…love that feature of this card!

Deb created this great card…oh, isn’t that tea bag fun!? I love the romantic/vintage chic feel of this card Deb! Aren’t those pearls pretty!!

I hope you all have a few moments to cruise the boards over on Pinterest, and also look through the great gallery!! There is so much fun stuff to be seen!! Take care and make it great!

Weekly Recipe #23

Hi everyone!  It’s Taylor here today, and it is my turn to host the Weekly Recipe!

I kept this week’s sketch very simple…you can choose to add a layer or not to!  Here is the sample I made, using the new Prescription for Spring Diner’s Club set:

I really love those kites – perfect for paper piecing!!  We’d love for you to play along with us this week.  Be sure to share your creations over on our Facebook page!  Have an amazing day!

Prescription for Spring…..

With being a therapist…I may be a little bias with this being one of my favorite Diner’s Club releases so far….but therapist or not…you will love this set!  Today I’m focusing on the prescription image and coordinating sentiment from the set….

The following are samples from myself, Kelli, Rose Ann, and Taylor……look at all those colors, those layouts, those ideas!

This is my card….I used the sentiment outside of the prescription….

Kelli used the band-aid image from the set as well!

Rose Ann made this soothing card with the sentiment inside the prescription…

Taylor doubled up the dosage on the prescription and used the Get Well Sentiment from the set.

Thanks for stopping by today, make sure to check out the rest of the team for their samples using other fabulous images from this set!

A Midnight Kiss!

After seeing Taylor’s Valentine cards I was inspired to stamp a Valentine too, so I pulled together a card using one of our singles, Kissed Goodnight, along with a couple of images from our new Diners’ Club set, Sealed With a Kiss.  I love mixing and matching stamps this way!

A few scraps of October Afternoon Christmas paper and some lipstick red ink supplied the color scheme for my card, and this week’s CPS sketch provided the layout.  For the background, I placed the script stamp upside down on my work surface, inked it with dye ink, then stamped some of the ink off with a scrap of paper.  I then placed my card stock on top of the stamp, using uneven pressure with my fingers to produce a faint image.  Looks like a time-worn love letter that could have spent years in the attic!

We have lots of great stamps that are just perfect for Valentine’s Day!  Take a look in the Love, Marriage and Valentine’s category for both our stamp sets and singles!

The Weekly Recipe #15

Welcome to the New Year!!  It’s Taylor here today, with the first Weekly Recipe for 2012.  I tried to keep things fairly simple this week, with a card that would be easy to make multiples of.  Take a look at my sketch:

I decided to use the sketch as an opportunity to get a head start on my Valentine’s Day cards, so I made a few of these to send out:

This month’s Diner’s Club set Sealed With a Kiss is perfect to get your Valentine’s mojo going!  I think this cuckoo clock and coordinating sentiment are too fun :)  We’d love to for you to play along with us!  Leave a link to your fabulous project below in the comments section, or stop by our Facebook page and show off your work!
