Steam Punk Fun

Hello everyone, it’s Taylor here today.  I wanted to share a few amazing samples featuring the Steam Punk line from Gourmet Rubber Stamps today.  Take a look at a few of the things I found in the gallery:

This first card is from Meridith, and it is so pretty!  I love the tilted panel of patterned paper; it sets off the Dress Form perfectly.  And the little touch of ribbon adds such softness.

Kendra’s warm-toned Balloon card is lovely, especially since she paired it with a sentiment from the Vintage Birthday stamp set.  Great job keeping this card masculine but fun!

Finally, Deb’s Pocket Watch card is gorgeous through and through!  I love how she tilted the image ever so slightly, and finished the card off with a fun key embellishment.

Each of the Steam Punk images is available as a cling rubber stamp or as a wood mounted rubber stamp.  Head over and pick some up today!

A Late but Yummy Weekly Recipe #17

Some of the best recipes take a little longer to stew, and this week’s recipe is no exception. Lol. Actually, that’s a cop out for me not being aware of which day of the week it is. This is Pam, and my Weekly Recipe #17 for Gourmet Rubber Stamps can be seen above. I hope you’ll play along and post your creation in a more timely fashion than I did! Just upload it to the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Facebook page HERE. My version of the recipe can be seen below:

I am in particular need of some humor this week, and the Murray’s Law line from Gourmet Rubber Stamps is the perfect antidote to crankiness. This image entitled, “Martini”, for obvious reasons, was stamped, paper-pieced, and Copic colored. A certain part of her anatomy needed just a little more lift, and fortunately for her, this could be done with a few foam dots. I added a couple of martini “olives” from punched papers, with a couple toothpicks…hey, you need handles when you have your fruits and veggies for the day.

So, you know you want this fun image, and HERE is where you go to buy it!

A Little Perk

Is anyone else already tired of January? Forget all of this snow, I’m ready for spring! I spent last week in sunny California with 66˚F temps. I returned back home to 16˚F weather. Huge dislike! It was a bitter reality that hit me upon my return. Whether the weather has you down, or someone you know is having a rough day, our cute little coffee percolator from the December Diner’s Club set, Let’s Celebrate is sure to perk things up a bit! Today I thought I would share a cute project and some cute cards that the design team has come up using that stamp image. Hope they perk up your day!

A Midnight Kiss!

After seeing Taylor’s Valentine cards I was inspired to stamp a Valentine too, so I pulled together a card using one of our singles, Kissed Goodnight, along with a couple of images from our new Diners’ Club set, Sealed With a Kiss.  I love mixing and matching stamps this way!

A few scraps of October Afternoon Christmas paper and some lipstick red ink supplied the color scheme for my card, and this week’s CPS sketch provided the layout.  For the background, I placed the script stamp upside down on my work surface, inked it with dye ink, then stamped some of the ink off with a scrap of paper.  I then placed my card stock on top of the stamp, using uneven pressure with my fingers to produce a faint image.  Looks like a time-worn love letter that could have spent years in the attic!

We have lots of great stamps that are just perfect for Valentine’s Day!  Take a look in the Love, Marriage and Valentine’s category for both our stamp sets and singles!
